Features
Introduction
- In the production of quality cast iron the inoculation process is of vital importance. When comparing un-inoculated and inoculated irons, differences in microstructures are easily revealed, which again will strongly affect the final mechanical properties of the casting. Through inoculation the graphite nucleation and eutectic under cooling of the iron can be controlled and this will be of crucial importance giving the iron its required service properties.
- The K-W SLS inoculation feeder has been developed for an automatic, precise and optimal dosing directly into the pouring jet. This guarantees the best possible effect. There is no fading and the treatment is very uniform. Inoculating into the pouring jet increases the metallurgical quality of the casting and at the same time allows to save inoculants.
Highest accuracy of inoculation
- Each inoculation quantity is controlled by the load cells of the incorporated weighing system and the inoculation amount is optimized after each pour. This method allows highest inoculation accuracy.
Optimal inoculation security
- Special pneumatic injector valve system mounted in the transport tube, for an optimal distribution of inoculants
- Level control on the silo, with alarm alert
- Flow control
- Anti-clogging device by pressure transducer
- Calibration and test functions
Simple to use
- Setting and adjustment on the touch panel
- Setting of inoculation quantity directly in g/s.
- Presetting of begin and duration of inoculation
